Our website has recently been updated with demos of 2 elearning courses we have have just completed.

 

BOQ Demo

Bank of Qld - Debt Collection Course

We have just completed a debt collection course for Bank of Queensland. The course features fully custom illustrated scenarios requiring the learner to work through typical debt collection situations.

TA Demo

TransAdelaide Rail Safety Course

We have recently completed a 2-unit Rail Safety and Environmental Awareness course for TransAdelaide. Each unit requires the learner to work through 4 typical workplace activities to demonstrate their knowledge of Rail Safety and Environmental Awareness issues.

Both courses are available along with a number of past projects in our Elearning Portfolio on the website.

ELEARNING RESOURCE

Each quarter we feature a new online resource relating to Elearning.

This quarter we are featuring a website called Training Media Review.com.

Training Media Review provides independent reviews of corporate learning products and services such as books, DVDs, websites and importantly authoring software and online courses. If you are considering an Elearning authoring tool or course for example, have a look on TMReview - they may have reviewed it already.

Harbinger’s Raptivity topped the number one slot on four areas (time to proficiency and complex practice and assessment interaction building and complex graphic animation building) of learning interaction design according to a recent global survey by eLearning Guild which had 1400 responders. Elliott Masie of The MASIE Center launched a social network called LearningTown which has over 17 focused groups and blogs and a membership base of over 3000. More here.

Training Australia Magazine announced the winners of its Best E-Learning and Training Awards. These awards are the first phase of the award program.

Mzinga released its new Firefly Collaborative Authoring Suite. More here.

RFID Revolution introduced RFID Essentials, an interactive experience that offers to deliver more learning, faster by any other similar training. More here.

The developers of the NOAH animated character technology, TelSim Software, released an upgrade which allows easy integration of NOAH into projects created with popular tools such as Captivate, Lectora, Articulate and more. More here.

Elearning Events

ElNet ran the first of its Melbourne based ElNet Café Events on Wednesday 30th April. Attendees heard Mark Keough, CEO Archer College talk about ‘Event based learning to ‘Always On Learning’ – Secrets of success at Qantas College and elsewhere. More here.

ElNet in conjunction with The Cyber Institute will also hold an ElNet Cafe Event in Brisbane on 15th May from 5.30pm - 7.00pm. The goal of the event will be to produce a framework for successful conversion of classroom instruction material to elearning and will be facilitated by Margaret Moon. More here.

In more news from ElNet, they also announced their first purely online event for 2008 titled "Podcasting for elearning - providing bloody good stuff for your ears, eyes and brains!". At the event, Cameron Reilly, CEO and Founder of The world's first PodCasting organisation The Podcast Network (TPN) will share his expertise, and his top tips in a new engaging and interactive format. The elearning industry association of Victoria announced it’s eLearning Industry Excellence Awards. An inaugural event to be held on 6th November, celebrating the achievements of the industry. Nominations close 13th August. More here.

The Ark Group has two events coming up:

  • Managing elearning to be held 29-30 May in Melbourne: This two-day masterclass will provide you with an opportunity to interact with the masterclass leader and other attendees to really gain a better understanding of how to strategically approach eLearning. You’ll leave this masterclass enthused and full of ideas to integrate into your learning and management strategy and you will identify the first steps to take when you get back to your workplace.
